Freedom Fest returns to Veterans Stadium this year, located at the corner of Nees and Minnewawa Aves, on the campus of Buchanan High School.

Presented by the Clovis Kiwanis Club, Freedom Fest is a decades old tradition which features air and ground fireworks displays, games and activities for kids, a food fair, and plenty of entertainment.

Tickets are available at the stadium beginning at 9am on July 4 for $5.00. Children under 5 years old are free. 

Gates open at 5pm and the fireworks program begins at dusk.

The City of Clovis joins the nation in recognizing The City of Clovis joins the nation in recognizing and celebrating Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day.

Juneteenth dates back to June 19, 1865, and commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. 

First celebrated in Texas, Juneteenth was recognized as a Federal holiday in 2021.

Senate Bill 1383 (SB-1383) is a law enacted by the State of California that builds on the State’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. SB-1383 requires all businesses, multi-family communities, and single-family residences to divert organic materials (food waste, including cooked meat, fish and poultry, yard waste, & soiled paper products) from landfill. It also requires the State to increase edible food recovery by 20% by 2025.
